Went down to Dunster to see the first trains for the 2017 season, a lovely warm day with no clouds around, caught the first train through and then popped along to Blue Anchor, which is the next station along the line, caught the same train there and then had some lunch (fish and chips) in the Driftwood cafe (well worth a visit if your down this way) which was excellent, yum yum!
Decided to go and visit the WWII weekend on the Severn Valley Railway, it was a cracking day out with the sun shinning all day, ended up looking like a beetroot! There were loads to see and do, with everyone dressed in authentic uniforms from the war.
There was many trains on show, even went to the train museum and they had the post coach from the Great Train Robbery from back in the 60’s.
Went to the WWII weekend at Ashdown Farm Nr Evesham Worcestershire, had a great time looking at all the different vehicles on show from military to classic cars from the 40’s to the 60’s. took a video of the precedings along with a Bofore Gun salute at midday.
Popped into a war time cafe and sampled a cracking bacon, egg, sausage and tomato bap, really filled you up! (mind the egg yoke, it runs!). Check out the video below.
