Went to Porlock Weir and Porlock Village on Monday 19th |June 2017, not a lot happening at the Weir, but it was quite interesting never the less, loads of shops and pubs and cafe’s, sadly the tide was out, so not many boats in the harbour.
A lovely day was had with the temperatures at about 28 degrees (starting to go a bit red!), called into Porlock village and had a spot of lunch at the Castle Hotel, and very nice too!
If your in the area, its worth a visit 4 or 5 miles outside Minehead on the A39.
Went to Blue Anchor for the last day of the 2017 Diesel Gala on the West Somerset Railway on Sunday 11th June. Weather was ok, a bit breezy, but with some sunshine, ended up going a bit red!
The Flying Scotsman is at last here at Williton during September 2017.
I spent the morning with my video camera and I think I’ve got some good shots!
Allthough he went through without stopping, it was a sight to see, huffing and puffing, the day was a little overcast, but never the less quite good.
It may have been the only time I get to see this magnificent loco all in green!
Spent the morning at Williton Station, plenty of trains, not a lot of people, so that was good, could get around very easily.
The sun was out in its full glory, blue sky everywhere, made for a grand morning at the station.
